Naalak Nappaaluk (OOSV) at Victoria Base Tours

We are offering guided tours of the OOSV Naalak Nappaaluk for staff at the Institute of Ocean Sciences, Pacific Biological Station, and Natural Resources Canada that are directly involved with CCG vessels for scientific research.

Please note these tours are restricted to staff that have involvement with CCG ships and we are extremely limited on people attending.

Tours will be conducted 11 February 2026 at Huron Street and will be one hour long and limited to 10 persons per tour. Closed-toed footwear will be required (no heels, no Crocs). You may use the sign up sheet below to reserve your spot ONCE you have your section head approval.

For those at IOS, we have a few vehicles to carpool downtown, but not enough spaces for everyone. If you are in town, consider getting yourself to the base on your own.

Tours promptly start on the hour, so please be at the ship a few minutes before your tour starts. Do not board the vessel, but rather wait to be greeted by a crew member. The tour will include scientific spaces, the mess, lounge, and selected outer decks where no work is being done by crew or contractors.
